Welcome Dr. Samantha Sigurdson, Radiation Oncologist

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Samantha Sigurdson to the Department of Oncology in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective February 1, 2025.
Dr. Sigurdson earned her MD at McMaster University (2015). She concurrently completed her Master’s of Epidemiology while pursuing her residency in Radiation Oncology at Queen’s University through the Clinician Investigator Program (2019). She further completed a one-year clinical fellowship with a focus on genitourinary cancer and stereotactic body radiation therapy at McMaster University (2023). Dr. Sigurdson has been working as a locum Radiation Oncologist at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.
Dr. Sigurdson’s research interests focus on quality assurance and patient decision-making and preferences. Her clinical practice will include the treatment of genitourinary and head and neck cancers at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. She will be actively involved in educational activities, including supervising residents, clinical research fellows, and undergraduate medical students.
