Welcome Dr. Wilson Lam, Malignant Hematologist

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Wilson Lam in the Department of Oncology at McMaster University as Assistant Professor and Hamilton Health Sciences as a hematologist specializing in the treatment of malignant blood disorders with a focus in the treatment of allogenic transplant at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, effective January 1, 2025.
Dr. Lam earned his MD at Albany Medical College (2010). He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Queen’s University (2013) and Hematology residency training at the University of Calgary (2015), followed by a two-year Allogeneic Blood and Marrow Transplant Fellowship at the University of Toronto (2017). Dr. Lam has been working as a staff physician at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. He has served as Fellowship Director of the Allogenic Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the University of Toronto since 2019.
Dr. Lam’s research interests include health services and outcomes in transplantation and leukemia. He is dedicated to medical education, which is reflected in receiving the UHN-Sinai Health Department of Medicine Certificate of Teaching Excellence in 2023, as well as the Teaching Excellence Award in Undergraduate Medical Education in 2022.
Dr. Lam will be actively involved in educational activities, including supervising residents, clinical research fellows, and undergraduate medical students.
